Overview
4 Star, First Class Historical Hotel

The hotel is located next to the Chinag Mai Orchid Hotel and adjacent to the Kad Suan Kaew shopping plaza and Kad Suan Kaew Theatre. A 10 minute drive away from the night bazaar.

Rooms in the Huay Kaew Wing are small and with shower only. There is mini-bar and hairdryer in rooms. Furniture is mahogany toned. Deluxe rooms in the Doi Suthep Wing are large and similar, decorated in Thai northern style. All rooms have a separate living area. Bathrooms are average.

Huay Kaew Wing has a restaurant which overlooks Doi Suthep Mountain. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The other 3 restaurants are located at Doi Suthep Wing. There is a restaurant which provides European breakfast, another provides Asian breakfast. Thai classical dance and shows are available on the 7th floor.

The hotel is housed in a high-rise, red brick, 1970's style building which has 2 wings linking up on the 6th floors.

The lobby of the Huay Kaew Wing (superior rooms) is on the 4th floor. This is medium sized, sparse and has a limited seating area. The Doi Suthep Wing (deluxe rooms) is, in contrast, an impressive 13 storey atrium open to the sky. It is extremely large with plenty of seating and Thai historic refreshment set aside.

The hotel is popular with Asian markets looking to shop in Chiang Mai and with convention groups who are drawn to it because of its size that varies from 20 to 3000 capacity. The hotel also offers a huge entertainment complex which includes a cinema, karaoke rooms, ten-pin bowling and an ice rink.
