Overview
3 Star, Superior Tourist Class Historical Hotel

In the suburb of Merivale, approximately four kilometres to the city centre and 10kms to the international airport. Also close to the City's Hagley Park. The hotel is divided by the Papanui road.

There are two standards of room type. The motor inn, and the main hotel rooms. Facilities are basic but rooms are in good condition, they have mini-bar, TV with cable channels, radios, Iron/ironing board.

The Tudor's restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner and offer a good range of meals, mainly European cuisine. The Earl of Essex cocktail lounge is located adjacent to the restaurant.

The hotel exterior is an English Tudor style low rise building with two floors.

The small hotel lobby located in the main building.

This is a good property for those not concerned with stating in the very centre of the city. Ideal for people travelling on a budget. Facilities include a swimming pool, Gym and Sauna.
